Methods: The study was descriptive, cross-sectional, and quantitative. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-HS) questionnaire was applied to 30 full-time teachers working at Norbert Wiener University in different schools and/or faculties. Results: The areas most affected by Burnout Syndrome were: Lack of Personal Accomplishment, where 43.3% (13) experienced the most problems, and with the lowest percentage were: Emotional Exhaustion (16.7%, 5) and Depersonalization (23.3%, 7). According to sociodemographic characteristics, the years of service showed statistical significance with the Depersonalization area, and no significance was found in other areas. Conclusions: Full-time teachers at Norbert Wiener University from different schools and/or faculties are most affected by Lack of Personal Accomplishment, with years of service being the most significant factor in the presence of Burnout Syndrome in the Depersonalization area.Ítem Acceso abierto Family social climate and self-care of the adult patient with prostate cancer, from a private clinic, Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-01-08) De Jesús Benavides, Rosa Milagros; Bernardo Santiago, GrisiIntroduction: Prostate cancer represents a global public health issue, affecting both the patient and their family. Family participation, support, and task determination promote self-care and facilitate recovery. Objective: To determine the relationship between family social climate and self-care in adult patients with prostate cancer at a private clinic. Methods: This is a deductive-hypothetical study with a quantitative, applied, observational, descriptive, correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional design. The sample will consist of 100 patients who attend weekly or monthly medical appointments and receive chemotherapy on the seventh and ninth floors of the hospital. Two surveys will be used for the research: a dichotomous questionnaire and a Likert-scale questionnaire, both validated and reliable for the target population. Data will be collected and processed using SPSS version 26.0. The results will allow the development of the hypothesis and lead to more comprehensive conclusions.
