    Work overload is a component that has constantly affected the care provided by the nursing professional, which must be with quality and warmth, hence the importance of maintaining a good quality of work life. The general objective of this research is determine the relationship between the quality of work life and nursing work performance in the Emergency Service in a Hospital in Lima, 2023. The study methodology of the study was applied, based on a deductive method, at a Descriptive level. correlational, with a quantitative, non-experimental cross-sectional approach, with a sample of 97 nurses: the technique used is the survey, the instrument applied was developed by Hurtado (2017), for the quality of work life variable with a reliability according to α-Cronbach 0.89 and the assessment sheet that calculates professional practice obtained a Cronbach's alpha 0.81. The result obtained presents a direct and significant correlation between the variables with a p=0.010 and a Rho Sperman =0.992. Concluding which demonstrates a correlation between the two variables: Quality of work life and work performance.
