Its objective is to relate anthropometric values with biochemical parameters of 134 individuals between 60 and 89 years old, members of the “Casa Hogar San Martín de Porres.” The values obtained for BMI were: 12% overweight and 4% obese, with higher prevalence in males. Regarding AC values, 30% presented high risk, with higher prevalence in females. Finally, for MUAC values, 19% presented risk, with higher prevalence in females. In cholesterol values, 27% presented moderate risk and 15% high risk, with higher prevalence in females. It was also found that triglyceride levels showed 10% and 9% corresponding to moderate and high risk, respectively, with males showing higher prevalence of elevated triglycerides. It is concluded that a statistically significant relationship was found between the anthropometric values BMI and AC with the biochemical parameters cholesterol and triglycerides; however, no such relationship was found between MUAC and the biochemical parameters.
