    Inteligencia emocional y estrés laboral en los profesionales de enfermería de un hospital de Breña, Lima, 2023

    Nursing professionals must apply both cognitive and emotional skills in order to be able to face the impacts and challenges of the pressure of the work environment. Therefore, the objective of the research was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress in nursing professionals at a Hospital in Breña, Lima 2023. Likewise, the study methodology used a hypothetical deductive method through a quantitative approach. of an applied type which was developed in a non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design. For this reason, we worked with a population of 254 and a sample of 108 nursing professionals under a non-probabilistic sampling for convenience, where the survey technique and questionnaire-type instruments adapted from the magisterial thesis of Gonzales and Sánchez (2020) were applied. Thus, to measure the variables, emotional intelligence and work stress, the instruments were validated through the judgment of 5 experts and the statistical reliability was found through the application of a pilot test of 25 sample participants and evidenced a Cronbach's Alpha correlation coefficient of 0.875 and 0.850 for both instruments that measure the variables. Finally, it was revealed that there is a significant and inverse relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress (Rho = -0.855) in nursing professionals at a hospital in Breña, Lima, 2023.
