Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de conocimiento y aceptación de la vacuna Pfizer-Biontech contra el COVID-19 en padres de menores de 11 años del Asentamiento Humano Municipal Sicuani. Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-17) Yaranga Huatarongo, Jaqueline; Del Castillo Vargas, Sony; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe lack of information or misinformation about vaccines limits their protective effect, making it a public health issue. The objective of this research was to evaluate the level of knowledge and acceptance of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine among parents of children under 11 years old in the Sicuani Municipal Human Settlement. The methodology was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, basic, and employed a cross-sectional, non-experimental design with a correlational scope. Spearman's Rho statistical test was used for the correlation. A sample of 388 parents of children under 11 years old was studied, and a questionnaire on the level of knowledge and acceptance of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was administered. Reliability was assessed using the test-retest method. Results: 46.6% of respondents demonstrated a medium level of knowledge about the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Regarding acceptance, 49.7% neither agreed nor disagreed with its approval, and only 20.9% agreed to accept the vaccine. Therefore, we conclude that there is a significant association between the two variables (p-value = 0.004), with a correlation coefficient of (Rho = +0.145), and the positive sign indicates a direct correlation.
