Therefore, it is crucial to gain a deep understanding of this pathology and employ preventive strategies in order to mitigate its spread and reduce the incidence of cases. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about biosafety practices related to monkeypox among healthcare personnel at a private polyclinic in Lima, 2023. Materials and Methods: This study has a quantitative approach, basic nature, non-experimental design, correlational level, and cross-sectional cut. The study population consisted of a total of 50 healthcare workers from the specialties of medicine, nursing, and laboratory. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: It was found that 66% of the respondents had a medium level of knowledge, 22% had a low level of knowledge, and only 12% had a high level of knowledge. Conclusions: It was determined that, in general, the level of knowledge is medium. Therefore, it is concluded that continuous training must be improved to ensure an effective response to outbreaks of infectious diseases like monkeypox, ensuring a safe environment for healthcare personnel and patients.
