    Level of knowledge and practice of the sterilization processes of medical devices of the nursing staff in the sterilization center of the Hospital de Emergencias Villa El Salvador 2024

    Objective: “Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice in the sterilization processes of medical devices among health professionals.” The staff will be made up of 40 nurses from the central sterilization service of the Villa Emergency Hospital in El Salvador. The type of research that will be used. The methodological design of the research project was observational, descriptive, correlational and transversal. Nursing variables were examined by Villanueva in 2020 using expert judgment standards. Nursing practice variables for the sterilization process of medical devices according to Quispe 2020 based on expert judgment. The reliability of the nursing knowledge variables was tested by Villanueva in 2020 and reached KR20 0.757. The data collection methods will be surveys and inventories. Statistical processing and analysis of data will be performed using methods depending on whether its distribution is determined by a parametric statistical test (Pearson correlation) or a non-parametric test (Spearman's Rho correlation).
