The population consisted of 563 nursing students. The instruments used were the (MBI-SS), which allows for assessing the level of burnout in students, and the (UWES), which measures the level of engagement in students. Results: Academic burnout and academic engagement have a slightly positive relationship, as the Spearman correlation coefficient (Rho) is 0.101 (p = 0.009). A medium level of burnout was found overall (97.5%), with the dimensions showing medium levels in emotional exhaustion (74%), low levels in cynicism (79%), and medium levels in inefficacy (65%). Regarding engagement, a high level was found overall (58.1%), with the dimensions showing very high levels in vigor (46.9%), dedication (49.6%), and absorption (79.6%). Population: It will be made up of 130 nursing professionals from the emergency service. Sample: It will be made up of 97 nurses, for the calculation a probabilistic sampling was used according to the convenience of the researchers. Methodological design: The type of research that we will use is applied. The method is hypothetical-deductive, observational, descriptive and transversal. The design to be used will be correlational. Instruments: For the evaluation of the variable "Knowledge about resuscitation", we will use the questionnaire prepared by Galvez in 2016, reliable with Kurder Richardson with a result of 0.7417 and for the evaluation of the variable "Attitudes about resuscitation", a questionnaire modified and adapted by Meneses and Mendoza in 2017, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha 0.983. Data processing and analysis: we will use descriptive statistics that will allow us to calculate the frequency and figures and inferential statistics that will allow us to establish if there is a relationship between the variables.
