Publicación Acceso abierto Factores sociodemográficos asociados a las competencias digitales en los docentes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-11-25) Donayre Flores, Daniel Martin; Palacios Garay, Jessica PaolaObjective: to establish the association between sociodemographic factors and the digital competencies of teachers at a private university in Lima, 2024. Materials and methods: the approach used was quantitative, hypothetical-deductive, applied, correlational and cross sectional. The sample consisted of 65 university teachers; the collection instruments were a questionnaire. Results: with respect to sociodemographic characteristics, female sex predominated with 52.3%, master's degree with 96.9%, age between 31 and 40 years with 41.5% and between 1 and 10 years of service with 43.1%. As for the level of digital competencies, the intermediate level prevailed with 63.1%. The sociodemographic factors associated with the information and information literacy dimension were gender, age and years of service, while the problem-solving dimension and the creation of digital content were associated with gender, academic degree and years of service, while the information management dimension was only associated with gender. Conclusion: It was possible to conclude that the sociodemographic factors significantly associated with the digital competencies of university teachers were sex and academic degree.
