    Risk factors associated with the appearance of pressure injuries in patients in the Intensive Care Unit of a national public hospital, Lima 2023

    Pressure injuries (PBI) are a problem of great importance due to their consequences on the health and quality of life of those who suffer them, they have a high epidemiological impact and can be present in patients at all levels of care and generate significant economic and human costs for both the Health System and society in general. Objective: To determine the risk factors associated with pressure injuries in patients in the Intensive Care Unit of a National public hospital, Lima 2023. The present study will have a quantitative approach because it will be measured with numerical and statistical results, it will also be applied research because it will allow explaining the phenomena observed during the development of the study and cross-sectional because it will allow evaluating the population under study during the established period of time. The population will be constituted by 60 patients of the Intensive Care Unit of a National public Hospital. An observation guide and a questionnaire, both previously validated, will be used as instruments. The data collected will be entered in a database according to the codebook in IBM SPSS version 25.
