To avoid infectious diseases among nursing staff handling contaminated surgical materials, biosafety standards must be followed. Biosafety refers to measures aimed at reducing risks such as infectious, physical, chemical, and mechanical agents. Protection barriers help prevent exposure to blood and other bodily fluids. Biosafety practices are actions aimed at protecting individuals from all types of threats, whether physical, chemical, or biological. The research approach is qualitative, correlational, and cross-sectional. The population will consist of 30 nursing staff members from the Sterilization Unit of the National Hipólito Unanue Hospital. The study will analyze two variables: knowledge level and biosafety practices. The instrument used will be a questionnaire-survey and an observation guide. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and biosafety practices among nursing staff in the Sterilization Unit at the National Hipólito Unanue Hospital.
