Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of home nursing visits to prevent treatment abandonment in tuberculosis patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-10) Escate Araujo, Erika del Pilar; Quispe Chuquispuma, Marlene Aida; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: To analyze the effectiveness of the nursing home visit for the prevention of abandonment in the treatment of tuberculosis. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search was carried out in articles with full texts that evidence methodological strength. The Grade system was used for the level of evidence and strength of recommendation. Result: 10 articles were chosen, 20% with (02) articles from India, 30% with (03) articles from Brazil and 10% each from South Africa, Canada, Cambodia, Uganda and Tanzania. Systematic reviews have been studied from Canada, descriptive studies from Brazil, India followed by quasi-experimental studies, Cambodia qualitative study and followed by Uganda and Tanzania with Cohort study. Where of the total number of articles analyzed (100%) affirm the effectiveness of the home visit to prevent abandonment of anti-tuberculosis treatment. Conclusions: The various articles studied internationally demonstrate the effectiveness of home visits to prevent abandonment of tuberculosis treatment.
