The objective of this study is to: "Evaluate the relationship between the level of knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus and diabetic ketoacidosis in patients with diabetes mellitus treated in the emergency area of Hospital Emergency Villa el Salvador during the year 2023." The study method will be hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, type of basic research, non-experimental design, correlational and cross-sectional level, it will be carried out in the months from to April- December 2023, where 90 patients will participate. with a diagnosis of DM, treated in the emergency area, that meet the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. For the data collection, the DKQ-24 instrument will be applied, which will measure the level of knowledge about DM, which is valid in Peru by expert judgment led by García, in addition, clinical criteria will be used to identify DKA. The instrument will be administered in person, prior acceptance of informed consent. The value of the Odds Ratio will be calculated as a measure of the strength of the relationship between the variables and it will be considered a significant relationship when a probability value of less than 0.05 is obtained. The calculations will be executed in the SPSS version 24 program.Ítem Acceso abierto Total family risk in households with children under 5 years old working in the human settlement Los Rosales in Los Olivos, Lima - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-18) Escobar Espejo, Edith Geovanna; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoIt is a study based on the quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design. We worked with a population of 144 heads of households aged 20 to 41 years and who have at least one child under 5 years old. The data collection technique was the survey; and the instrument, the Total Family Risk Questionnaire or RFT5:33, which has 5 dimensions and 33 items. Results: Regarding total family risk, 86 families representing 59.7% are threatened; 30 families representing 20.8% have low risk; and 28 families that represent 19.4% have high risk. Regarding the dimensions of psychoaffective conditions (97.9%), health services and practices (54.9%), housing and neighborhood conditions (91%) and handling of minors (78.5%), threatened families predominated, except for the socioeconomic situation dimension where families with high risk predominated (51.4%). Conclusions: In relation to the total family risk of the participating families, the threatened families predominated, followed by low risk and high risk. Regarding the dimensions of psychoaffective conditions, health services and practices, housing and neighborhood conditions, and management of minors, threatened families predominated; and in the socioeconomic situation dimension, families with high risk predominated.
