Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices on anemia prevention in mothers of children under 3 years of age, who come to the San Fernando de Ate Vitarte health center, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-04) Escobar Rivera, Araceli; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe objective of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and practices on anemia prevention in mothers of children under 3 years of age, who attend the San Fernando de Ate Vitarte Health Center, 2021 Materials and methods: The present study had a quantitative approach, its methodological design was correlational-cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 129 mothers. The data collection technique was the survey and the instruments used were the questionnaires on knowledge and practices on anemia prevention. Results: Regarding the general hypothesis, it can be observed that there is a relationship between knowledge and practices on anemia prevention (p <0.05). According to the specific hypotheses, it can be observed that there is a relationship between knowledge in its generalities dimension about anemia and practices on anemia prevention (p <0.05). Finally, regarding the second specific hypothesis, it can be observed that there is a relationship between knowledge in its preventive measures dimension and practices on anemia prevention (p <0.05). Conclusions: A relationship was found between the main variables knowledge and practices on anemia prevention. There is a relationship between knowledge in its general dimension about anemia and practices on anemia prevention. Finally, there is also a relationship between knowledge in its preventive measures dimension and practices on anemia prevention.
