Ítem Acceso abierto Ergonomic risk factors correlated with lower back pain in nurses working in the emergency service at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-27) Gaspar Carpena, Danixa Roxana; Escurra Terrel, Deysi Vilma; Borda Izquierdo, AlejandroMaterials and methods: Quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional correlational. The sample consisted of 150 nurses who met the inclusion criteria. The technique used was the survey and the instruments, the Likert-type scale that was validated by the author Cachay for ergonomic risk factor; and for lower back pain, by Chávez. Results: There is a moderate negative average correlation (p= 0.004, rho = -0.764) between the average risk factor (58.7%) and acute low back pain (53.3%). 46% presented high risk for the prolonged standing factor; 60.7% presented medium risk for the physical effort factor without application of body mechanics; and 76% presented medium risk for the forced and prolonged postures factor; Regarding low back pain, 55.3% presented acute low back pain, 23.3% did not present pain and 21.3% presented chronic low back pain Conclusions: There is a correlation between the average risk factors and acute low back pain; Regarding the prolonged standing factor, the risk factor is high; For the physical effort factor without application of body mechanics and for the forced and prolonged postures factor the risk factor is medium.
