This research aimed to determine the level of knowledge and attitude about SARS-CoV-2 among students from 1st to 5th grade at the Nuestra Señora de Copacabana educational institution in the Carabayllo district. Methodology: The study employed a deductive method, with a quantitative approach. It was a basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational study. The sample consisted of 166 students who completed a questionnaire to measure the study variables. For data collection, a survey was used to assess the knowledge variable, and a Likert scale questionnaire was used for the attitude variable. Both instruments demonstrated good validity and reliability. Results: The majority, 74.7% of the students, showed a low level of knowledge, while 19.9% demonstrated a medium level. Regarding attitude and knowledge of prevention measures, 57.8% had a medium level of knowledge, and 31.9% had a high level of knowledge about SARS-CoV-2. For social distancing, 88.8% had a high level of knowledge and attitude, while 9.0% had a medium level of knowledge with high attitude. A significant relationship (Spearman's Rho = 0.638) was found between the level of knowledge and attitude about SARS-CoV-2. A moderate correlation was found between knowledge of risk factors and attitude (Rho = +0.524), while a low correlation was observed for knowledge of prevention measures (Rho = +0.416) and knowledge of social distancing (Rho = +0.211). Conclusion: The study confirmed the presence of a significant, direct, and moderate relationship between knowledge and attitude variables regarding SARS-CoV-2.
