The objective of the present investigation was to determine the sociocultural factors associated with the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in infants from 0 to 6 months of mothers attending in the Roman Egoavil Pando Hospital in 2021. A non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional study was proposed with a sample of 100 mothers of infants from 0 to 6 months of age, users of the neonatology service and CRED of the Roman Egoavil Pando Hospital. An instrument was applied for each variable, to aboard the sociocultural factors variable, a 24-items questionnaire was used, which was adapted by the undersigned, and also underwent a validation procedure by five experts, with crombach's alpha reliability applied to mothers of infants from 0 to 6 months of age at the Roman Egoavil Pando Hospital. While to evaluate the practical variable of exclusive breastfeeding, an observation guide with five indicators was used. The data obtained was analyzed with the spss v25 program. Among the results, it was possible to obtain and show that 85% of the sample have an average level of sociocultural factors, which can be interpreted as activities or actions that are part of the culture, belief, knowledge on a day-to-day base in favoring breastfeeding. exclusive. It is concluded that there is statistical significance between sociocultural factors and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.
