Supplementation with omega-3 showed significant changes in the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGTP) in children with NAFLD compared to placebo and suggested that omega-3 may be useful in patients. with NAFLD to prevent other complications, such as cardiovascular diseases.
