    Nursing care to prevent pressure ulcers in adults

    In the final selection, 14 articles were chosen, we found that 40% (06) correspond to studies carried out in Spain, with 25% (03) correspond to Colombia, while 25% (03) are studies from Brazil, 20 %(02) Australia. The majority have been studied Systematic Review with 50% (07), Clinical Trials with 30% (03), Quantitative Descriptives 20% (02), Quantitative Cohort 10% (10) and Convergent Care 10% (01). mainly in the countries of Europe 40% (06), Latin America 40% (60) and Oceania 20% (02).Conclusions: Nursing care to prevent pressure ulcers in adult patients is the use of risk assessment scales to develop PUs, use of transparent polyurethane film, skin care and hydration, use of fatty acids hyperoxygenated, use of special surfaces for pressure management (SEMP), incontinence management, nutritional monitoring, use of highly specific mattresses There is little evidence of the effectiveness of mobilization in frequency and time for prevention of pressure ulcers, yet it is considered a pillar of nursing care for the prevention of pressure ulcers.
