    It is preponderant that nursing professionals who work in the area manage knowledge and practices of endotracheal aspiration that allows the operation of oxygen transit and continues the opening of airways for the conservation of the respiratory pattern and therefore the survival of the critical patient. AIM. Relate knowledge and practices on closed-circuit endotracheal aspiration by nursing professionals in patients with mechanical ventilation, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the approach of the study is quantitative, applied, with a descriptive design - correlational, transectional, non-experimental. The census population will be made up of 80 nursing professionals who work in the Critical Care Units. The techniques used will be survey and observation; and the instruments will be a questionnaire to measure the cooking variable and an observation guide for the closed-circuit endotracheal aspiration practices variable, making it necessary to reflect on its importance in the panorama of great dependence that patients have to preserve the respiratory pattern through proper management. adequate endotracheal suction. Spearman's Rho will be used as a hypothesis contrast test.
