    Knowledge of biosecurity measures and practices of emergency service nurses

    Objective: "To determine the relationship between knowledge of biosafety measures and practices of nursing staff in the emergency department." The population will consist of 72 nursing professionals working in the emergency department of a National Hospital. Sample: The total population. Methodological Design: The type of research will be applied. The design will be observational, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional. Instruments: To evaluate the variable "Knowledge of biosafety measures among nursing staff," the questionnaire adapted by Huamán in 2019 will be used, with a reliability of 0.806 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. To evaluate the variable "Practices regarding biosafety measures among nursing staff," a guide adapted by Vivanco and Medrano in 2019 will be applied, with reliability measured by KR (20) yielding a value of 0.88. Data Collection Technique: The survey. Statistical Processing and Data Analysis: Descriptive techniques and frequencies expressed as percentages will be used. Statistical analysis will depend on the distribution, employing parametric tests (Pearson correlation) or non-parametric tests (Spearman’s Rho correlation).
