    The aim of this study was to establish the relationship between the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the socioemotional competencies of medical students at a private university in Lima, 2023. The hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach was used, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional correlational design. The sample consisted of 330 medical students of a private university in Lima in the year 2023, the sampling was probabilistic by strata. Two duly validated instruments were used for data collection, both with 38 questions each. The results showed a moderate positive correlation between ICT use and socioemotional competencies with a Spearman's Rho 0.628 (p < 0.001); likewise, a moderate positive relationship was found between ICT use and three dimensions of the second variable: cognitive abilities, achievement and action, and interpersonal relationships; regarding the relationship between ICT use and the personal efficacy dimension, the correlation was weakly positive. Based on the above, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of ICT and socioemotional competencies.
