    Identifying incidents related to the misuse of medical devices is essential for anticipating and evaluating patient conditions, improving hospital stay, and ensuring adequate recovery. Although medical devices are crucial in healthcare, their misuse may lead to infections or harm, negatively affecting patient safety. This study, entitled: "Incidents of errors related to the use of medical devices at the Hipólito Unanue Hospital from January to December 2023", aimed to analyze these incidents during the indicated period. The research used an inductive method, with a quantitative approach and an applied type of study. The study population consisted of 90 reported notifications of medical device errors. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling method was used. The data collection technique was descriptive, using an observation form that recorded details about the types of devices, error frequency, and risk level. The results revealed that a significant number of notifications were associated with infusion pumps and monitoring equipment. Most incidents were classified as moderate, highlighting the need for preventive strategies. In conclusion, it is essential to strengthen technovigilance systems and implement training programs to ensure the correct use of medical devices and protect patient safety.
