Ítem Acceso abierto Family support and quality of life in users undergoing renal replacement therapy - hemodialysis in a national hospital, Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-03) Felipe Soto, Jessica Josefina; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: Family support for patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis involves providing emotional, instrumental, informational, and evaluative support. This support is given throughout the patient's life, with family members being the primary and most important source of care at home. They face many challenges in caring for hemodialysis patients, which can affect the patients' physical, psychological, and social quality of life, helping them live with hope. Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and quality of life in patients undergoing renal replacement therapy – hemodialysis at a National Hospital in Lima, 2022. Methods: The research method will be non-experimental, with a quantitative approach, cross-sectional design, observational, and correlational. The population and sample will consist of 90 participants undergoing hemodialysis therapy, with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling method. For data processing and analysis, the collected information will first be organized, followed by coding. Once the data is collected, it will be organized according to the study variables. The data will be processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 26.0 statistical software to generate tables and/or graphs by dimensions and indicators of the study variables. Additionally, the Spearman's Correlation Test (Rho) will be used to determine the relationship between variables.
