Ítem Acceso abierto Factors that influence the practice of Exclusive Breastfeeding in Puerperas: Review of Publications 2010-2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-16) Fernandez Inoñan, Juvitza Alexandra; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjective: To identify the main scientific evidence available on the factors influencing the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in postpartum women between 2011 and 2021. Methodology synthesis: The study had a qualitative approach and was based on a review of publications. Data analysis was conducted through searches of original articles from various virtual databases: ProQuest, Scielo, REDALYC, Dialnet, and PubMed. A total of 30 articles were selected based on eligibility criteria. The GRADE system was used to assess the quality of the evidence and the strength of recommendations in each article. Results: The factors influencing exclusive breastfeeding practice were primarily social, including age, education level, marital status, and family environment. Biological factors were related to the physical formation of the breasts and the mother's primary occupation in economic terms. Conclusions: It was concluded that significant factors influence the practice of exclusive breastfeeding, supported by high-quality scientific evidence.
