Level of self-care in patients attended to in the hemodialysis service of a Lima hospital, January - March 2021

Objective: Determine the level of self-care in Patients treated in the Hemodialysis service, Hospital de Lima 2021. Methodology: Study with a quantitative approach, cross-sectional and had a non-experimental design. The entire population of scheduled patients who belong to the nephrology specialty of the Lima Hospital participated in this study, made up of patients selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria; there was no sample size calculated. Data collection techniques and instruments: The survey questionnaire technique was used to calculate the study variable, in the dimensions of nutrition, activity and sleep, nutrition and self-care in vascular access; the instrument for the case of the variable and its dimensions. Procedures: data collection will be carried out in three months in the Nephrology service at the Lima Hospital. Once the information has been collected by applying the instrument, the data will be entered into a SPSS version 25 database. Statistical Analysis: In the statistical analysis, descriptive statistics will be used, presenting the frequency tables in percentage, as well as the calculations of measures of central tendency and dispersion. , of graphic representations, for the variable the instrument will be the “self-care in patients with hemodialysis” questionnaire, which has Cronbach's Alpha, obtaining a score of 0.91, which represents.
