Physical labor, societal pressure, and financial restrictions can cause caregivers to eventually suffer from physical and emotional exhaustion, that is, stress. The increase is a risk of collapse, depleting resources, influencing the mental, physical and social health of the person in charge, and devaluing their quality of life. The caregiver surcharge is a perception of the care of individuals who depend on the caregiver or manager. The main purpose of the study is to define the relationship between overload and quality of life of schizophrenic patients in a hospital in Ayacucho -2022. This research uses correlational and quantitative methodology. The population sample is 100 caregivers of schizophrenia patients from a hospital in Ayacucho from June to December 2022. To clarify the link between the quality of life of those in charge and the recharge, the Zarit Reever and Col scale (1980) is used. ), a tool that records 22 items, and three body, emotional and social dimensions, with a confidence level of 0.87, with the statistic, Alpha of Cronbach. The questionnaire approved by Testa, 1996 was used with a Cronbach's Alpha confidence factor of 0.92. The main conclusions reached are: There is a moderate level of quality of life for family caregivers of schizophrenic patients; Also in its dimensions the standard of living is moderate.
