Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of the patient's relative in the intensive care unit, national hospital, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-11) Flores De la Cruz, Denisse Maria; Bernardo Santiago, GrisiIn the ICU, most patients admitted to the service suffer from pain and anxiety due to being subjected to therapeutic procedures, which is a constant and recurring suffering they experience. Therefore, we must try to reduce the risk to patients. The objective of this research is to identify and appropriately address the needs to restore the patients' health. Nursing staff requires both technical and interpersonal knowledge and skills to provide quality care during their hospital stay. For this reason, it is considered crucial in patient care, as it is the nursing professional who maintains continuous communication with both the patient and their family from admission, throughout their hospital stay, until discharge. During this period, the care provided by nursing staff involves cordiality, empathy, and personalized attention, which is believed to influence the health and well-being of ICU patients at the National Hospital in Lima, 2022. The methodology used in this research will be a hypothetical deductive approach, quantitative focus, basic non-experimental or observational prospective cross-sectional research type, with an observational and correlational design. The population and intentional sample will consist of 80 individuals, family members of patients admitted to the ICU of the National Hospital in Lima in 2022. Data collection will occur between January and December 2022 using a nursing care questionnaire (CARE Q) and a nursing satisfaction questionnaire (CHS). This instrument was created and validated in Lima in 2018 by Palomino A., Rivera E., and Tocto P.
