The present research seeks to determine how the stress level is related to the work performance of the nurses at the San Felipe Clinic, where stress is a physiological reaction of the organism in which various defense mechanisms come into play to cope a situation that is perceived as threatening or of increased demand. Accordingly, job performance is the way in which employees perform their work, which is evaluated during performance reviews, taking into account the factors of leadership capacity, organizational skills and productivity of the employer that faces the level of stress. . Objectives: To determine the relationship between the level of stress and the work performance of the nurses of the San Felipe Clinic - Lima, 2019. Material and method: quantitative, descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional study. For this, a sample of 90 nurses will be taken, they were surveyed in the city of Lima (Perú). The information was collected by direct survey. The data were coded in an Excel database and analyzed in the SPSS statistical program. Results: It can be seen that the stress level is 93.3% (84), also 70% (63) have a high performance level, 30% (27) report an average level of stress in relation to age that ranges between 35 - 45 years, index 83.3% (75) regarding the level of stress in relation to sex or gender, only have courses are those that present a medium (moderate) stress with 50% (45) and 6.6 %, physical stressors in relation to job performance with 18.0% (17) specifically in teamwork, and a low percentage of 1.1% (1) between results orientation and organization in the population, object of investigation.
