Ítem Acceso abierto Stress and Job Performance in Healthcare Personnel Working with COVID Patients in a Healthcare Facility in Lima - 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-25) Flores Mondragón, Angie Elisabet; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between stress and job performance in healthcare personnel working with COVID patients at a healthcare facility in Lima. The research was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective, with 80 healthcare professionals from the Essalud Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital participating. A questionnaire on occupational stress (Pietro and Trucco) and the ISHI INTERCOL questionnaire for job performance, both previously validated, were used as instruments. The results indicated that workers with a high level of stress exhibited moderate job performance in 53% of cases. Additionally, it was determined that professionals with moderate stress had poor job performance in 57.7%. On the other hand, it was found that there is no relationship between the dimensions of physiological stress, psychological stress, and stressors with job performance. In conclusion, a significant relationship between stress and job performance was found among healthcare personnel working with COVID patients in a healthcare facility in Lima.
