Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice in nurses on the care of polytraumatised patients in the emergency service of a private clinic, Lima-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-25) Freites, Julia Carolina; Molina Torres, Jose GregorioA polytraumatized patient is a person with injuries resulting from damage to two or more organs, or a person with at least one life-threatening injury that poses a serious risk to life. In this sense, nurses should base their actions or treatment on a series of considerations that depend mostly on the level of consciousness of polytraumatized patients at the time of admission to the emergency unit. For this reason, the general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge of care of polytraumatized patients and the practice of nurses in the emergency department of a private clinic, Lima-2023. Materials and Methods: The present research is applied, quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional and non-experimental, which will allow us to obtain the expected results according to the proposed objectives. Population of 80 nurses from the Emergency Department. Likewise, a survey/questionnaire and an observation technique/observation chart will be used to measure these variables, respectively. With due validation and adaptation of the work of Moscaiza (2021). To evaluate the validity of the questionnaire, the binomial test will be used, with a value of 0.806 and the validity of the observation guide of the practice, the multiple point distance test will be used, with a value of 0.895. The Microsoft Excel application will be used to code and digitize the data acquired and will be exported to the SPSS Version 25 statistical program for data analysis.
