    Características relacionadas con la adherencia al tratamiento de la hipertensión arterial en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho-2017

    Los resultados muestran que el 56,3% de pacientes encuestados son de sexo femenino, el 66,1% son casados, el 68,9% tienen estudios de secundaria, no se encontró pacientes con grado de instrucción superior, también encontramos que el 54,6% de los pacientes no son adherentes al tratamiento y el 32,2% de ellos se encuentra en riesgo de no adherirse al tratamiento; además que los factores socioeconómico y relacionado al proveedor son de alta influencia para la adherencia con 30,6%, además existe moderada influencia del factor relacionado al paciente con 54,6%. Se concluye que pacientes de sexo femenino tienen mayor posibilidad de asistir a la consulta, siendo la mayoría mayores de 60 años, existe escasa adherencia al tratamiento de la HTA, el factor más influyente es el factor socioeconómico y el relacionado con el proveedor: sistema y equipo de salud.

    Characteristics related to adherence to treatment of arterial hypertension in patients seen at the Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho-2017

    The results show that 56.3% of patients surveyed are female, 66.1% are married, 68.9% have secondary education, no patients with a higher education degree were found, we also found that 54 .6% of patients are not adherent to treatment and 32.2% of them are at risk of not adhering to treatment; In addition, socioeconomic and provider-related factors have a high influence on adherence with 30.6%, and there is also a moderate influence of the patient-related factor with 54.6%. It is concluded that female patients are more likely to attend the consultation, with the majority being over 60 years old, there is poor adherence to HTN treatment, the most influential factor is the socioeconomic factor and that related to the provider: system and health team.

    Relationship between basic activities of daily living and cognitive status in older adults of the Ignacia Rodulfo Viuda de Canevaro Geronto Geriatric Residential Care Center - Rimac, 2017.

    Objective: To determine the relationship between activities of daily living and cognitive status in older adults at the Geronto Geriatric Residential Care Center Ignacia Rodulfo Viuda de Canevaro in the Rímac district, 2017. Methodology: Descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study. The sample consisted of 100 older adults. The instruments used were the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) by Folstein, which evaluates cognitive function, and the modified Katz Index, which evaluates physical activity. The data were processed using the SPSS Version 23 statistical program. Results: 68% of participants were independent, 32% required assistance, and no participants were dependent for physical activities. On the other hand, 92% were independent in personal appearance, while 35% required assistance to move within their environment. Significant differences were observed in all dimensions. Regarding cognitive status, 61% had no cognitive impairment, 25% had mild to moderate dementia, and 14% had possible cognitive decline. However, a relationship was found between activities of daily living and cognitive status (p=0.0001). Conclusion: A relationship exists between activities of daily living and cognitive status in older adults at the Geronto Geriatric Residential Care Center Ignacia Rodulfo Viuda de Canevaro in the Rímac district.
