    The global population is aging rapidly. It is also important to mention that elderly people deserve special care because aging brings about physiological changes and age-related disorders, which are difficult to separate from the emergence of age-related diseases. Furthermore, between the ages of 30 and 80, there is a 40% loss of muscle strength and mass, which increases the risk of falls and other pathologies. Therefore, this decrease in muscle strength is related to the loss of functionality in elderly adults, meaning the ability to perform basic activities of daily living independently. This decrease in functionality negatively impacts the health and quality of life of older adults.
