Publicación Acceso abierto Estrés y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del programa de segunda especialidad en enfermería: cuidado enfermero en emergencias y desastres en una Universidad Privada de Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-04) Gómez Oré, Williams Jesús; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaIn the present research work whose objective was to determine if there is a relationship between stress and academic performance in students of the second specialty program in nursing: nursing care in emergencies and disasters in a private university in Lima, which was an investigation of the applied type, of descriptive design, with a population of 100 students to whom a survey was applied to which, through the analysis process using the Chi-square statistic, the results were obtained that 54% of students have a low level of stress; compared to 46% with a medium level. It was found that 86% of students are at an average level of academic achievement; in lower percentages, students are observed in the low (13%) and high (1%) levels. The results of the independence test (no relationship) between stress and students' academic performance. The Chi-square statistic was found to be 18.954 with p = 0.000 <0.01; thus, affirming that there is a significant relationship between the variables: stress and students' academic performance. Concluding from the results, a significant relationship between stress and academic performance considering the physiological factor that, in contrast to the behavioral and psychological factors, the applied statistical tests found no existing relationship.
