    Level of depression and self-care in the elderly of a mental health facility, Lima- 2021

    Among the most frequent neuropsychiatric diseases are depression and dementia in 20% of neutral or mental disorders in adults over sixty years of age according to the World Health Organization (WHO). This research manuscript aims to determine the relationship between the level of depression and self-care in the elderly in a mental health facility, Lima - 2021 Material and method: This work consists of a quantitative, descriptive study, the population consists of 50 adults over 60 years of age, attended through appointment scheduling, according to exclusion and inclusion criteria. Two instruments will be applied: for the depression level, the yesavage geriatric depression scale test (alpha values between 0.80 - 0.95). And to evaluate the level of self-care, the cypac-am test will be used (0.05 and 95% reliability) will have the signature of informed consent and approval of the ethics committee.
