    Reacciones adversas y frecuencia relacionadas al uso de anticonceptivos hormonales inyectables de usuarios de boticas del AAHH San Genaro Chorrillos-Lima Metropolitana, 2023

    The objective of the study was to evaluate the correlation between the use of injectable hormonal contraceptives and adverse reactions in users of AAHH San Genaro Chorrillos - Metropolitan Lima, 2023. A hypothetical deductive method was used with a basic and observational quantitative approach. Regarding the design, it was a non-experimental, correlational study with a cross sectional approach. The sample was 385 people, who were randomly chosen in the different pharmacies in the sector under study, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. An online questionnaire was used, the answers to which were tabulated in Excel and finally analyzed with IBM SPSS version 26. Results: most of the users were between 26 and 35 years old, Mesigyna was the most used contraceptive (43.1%), followed by Soluna (20.5%) and Nofertyl (15.5%). A significant correlation was shown between some dimensions of the use of injectable hormonal contraceptives and adverse reactions in users of pharmacies at the AAHH San Genaro Chorrillos Lima Metropolitana, 2023. As in the adverse reaction of gastrointestinal disorders with the diarrhea dimension (p = 0.008; Cramer's V = 0.150), weight change (p = 0.038; Cramer's V = 0.132), and in mastalgia both dimensions were significant (p < 0.05); thus, the breast tension dimension showed p = 0.015 and weak intensity Cramer's V = 0.143; similarly, the breast tenderness dimension showed p = 0.005 and weak intensity (Cramer's V = 0.156). The use of injectable hormonal contraceptives with vaginal infections, menstrual disorders, emotional depression, and headache did not show a significant correlation (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There was a correlation between the use of injectable hormonal contraceptives and adverse reactions, with Mesigyna being the most commonly used hormonal contraceptive, which frequently and very frequently presented the majority of adverse reactions across several dimensions.
