Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional intelligence and work stress in the nursing staff of the Barton Hospital, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-03) Gallardo Vigil, Ladys Stephanie; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeFor the elaboration of the present investigation, the general objective was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress in the nursing staff of the Barton Hospital, Lima 2022, for which a hypothetical deductive method was used, a type of investigation applied and a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of a total of 110 nurses who belong to the Barton Hospital. The survey technique was used and as an instrument for collecting information two questionnaires that were intended to evaluate the variables of emotional intelligence and work stress. The main results showed a Spearman's Rho coefficient of -.679; as well as a significance with a value of p=<0.05. It was concluded that there is a medium, negative and considerable relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress in the nursing staff of the Barton Hospital.
