Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of oxygenation of high-flow cannulas to prevent mechanical intubation in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure in COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-14) Gallegos Romaní, Flor De María; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaOf the 10 articles reviewed, 80% (8/10) highlight the effectiveness of high-flow cannula oxygenation to avoid mechanical intubation in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure in patients with covid-19 in the intensive care unit, 10% (1/10) show that noninvasive mechanical ventilation reduces intubation and the other 10% (1/10) agree that both procedures are safe and effective. According to this review, it can be concluded that Intensive Care Unit specialists should reinforce their knowledge on the proper and initial practice of HFNC before requiring forced intubation, since the positive pressure system generated probably reduces the level of infection contagion of patients in the ICU and mortality.Ítem Acceso abierto Pain management of the post-surgical patient and satisfaction in nursing care in the surgical specialty’s services of the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-19) Gallegos Romaní, Flor De María; Molina Torres, Jose GregorioThe main objective of the research is to determine the relationship between pain management in post-surgical patients and satisfaction in nursing care in the surgical specialty services of the Hipólito Unanue-2023 National Hospital. The methodology used is the quantitative approach, it is of the applied type, correlational level, non-experimental design, the population will be made up of 100 post-surgical patients from the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, the type of non-probabilistic sampling, sample size, will be made up of 100 post-operative patients. Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue, the measurement of the 2 variables will be carried out using the survey technique and the questionnaire instrument, for the first the Strategic and Clinical Quality Indicators in Post-operative Pain Management (SCQIPP) will be used. Before data collection through the application of the instruments, the information will be transferred to a spreadsheet of the Microsoft Excel program in order to carry out the statistical-descriptive processing and consequent tabulation of the results to facilitate its interpretation and understanding. Then, the data will be transferred and coded in the SPSS version 27 program in order to carry out the statistical-inferential treatment; beginning with the use of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, due to the sample size. Thus, depending on whether the normal distribution is fulfilled in the data, the appropriate correlational test will be selected: Pearson's R (parametric) or Spearman's Rho (non-parametric).
