Ítem Acceso abierto Academic stress and procrastination in students of the ninth cycle of Nursing at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-15) Gamarra Astahuaman, Nerly Aybe; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThe study was conducted with the aim of identifying the relationship between academic stress and procrastination among nursing students at the Norbert Wiener University. The objective was to determine whether there is a significant relationship between academic stress and procrastination in students of the ninth cycle of Nursing at Norbert Wiener University, Lima, 2021. It is an applied research study, using the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach. The research was descriptive-theoretical or pure, and a correlational design was used, with a sample of 53 ninth-cycle nursing students. The academic stress inventory and the SISCO procrastination scale were used for evaluation. Spearman's Rho statistic was applied for data analysis. According to the findings on academic stress, 26 students (49% of the class) from the ninth cycle of nursing at Norbert Wiener University experience moderate academic stress; 20 students (38%) show moderately low academic stress, and 2 students (4%) have moderately high academic stress. Regarding procrastination, 25 students (47%) show moderately high procrastination; 22 students (42%) have high procrastination, and 5 students (9%) present moderate procrastination. The correlation analysis revealed a significant relationship between academic stress and procrastination in ninth-cycle nursing students, with a coefficient of 0.379 and a p-value of 0.005, which is below the estimated error (0.01).
