The objective of this study is to determine the relationship that exists between the prevention measures applied by Nursing staff with HAIs in critical patients in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Lima 2022. It is proposed from a quantitative approach, with observational, correlational and cross-sectional design. The study population will be made up of a total of 80 patients in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima and a total of nursing professionals. The technique and instrument for data collection will be through a technical sheet for data related to the evaluation of infections associated with health care in patients and through an observation guide to identify compliance with preventive measures in professionals. The collected data will be emptied into the Excel database and then processed with the SPSS statistical program. The software will show the type of relationship that exists between the variables, and tables and figures will be represented.
