Therefore students should learn by doing, allowing a significant learning, where the development of their ability of active work, team work and problem solving is important as part of the Problem Base-Learning (PBL) methodology. This research analyse the possible relation between the PBL as didactic estrategy and a significant learning in Norbert Weiner University fifth grade students, who have recived the PBL methodology as a estrategy in the “Physioterapeutic Intervention on Sensitive Sensorial Dysfunctions” course. The population was 53 students from two diferents classrooms, moorning and late shift. The results show that there is no relation between the application of the PBL method and the significant learning, especially when it comes to active learning and team working learning dimensions, nevertheless the relation between the solving problems dimensión and the significant learning show a Spearman correlation coeficient of -0.310 and a probability value of p= 0.026 (< 0.05), meaning there is a significant relation between this two.Publicación Acceso abierto Estrés y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del programa de segunda especialidad en enfermería: cuidado enfermero en emergencias y desastres en una Universidad Privada de Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-04) Gómez Oré, Williams Jesús; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaIn the present research work whose objective was to determine if there is a relationship between stress and academic performance in students of the second specialty program in nursing: nursing care in emergencies and disasters in a private university in Lima, which was an investigation of the applied type, of descriptive design, with a population of 100 students to whom a survey was applied to which, through the analysis process using the Chi-square statistic, the results were obtained that 54% of students have a low level of stress; compared to 46% with a medium level. It was found that 86% of students are at an average level of academic achievement; in lower percentages, students are observed in the low (13%) and high (1%) levels. The results of the independence test (no relationship) between stress and students' academic performance. The Chi-square statistic was found to be 18.954 with p = 0.000 <0.01; thus, affirming that there is a significant relationship between the variables: stress and students' academic performance. Concluding from the results, a significant relationship between stress and academic performance considering the physiological factor that, in contrast to the behavioral and psychological factors, the applied statistical tests found no existing relationship.Publicación Acceso abierto Implementación del blended learning y su influencia en el aprendizaje de las ciencias naturales en estudiantes del grado 11 de la Institución Educativa La Salle Manrique-Colombia, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-06-05) Villa Uribe, Juan Carlos; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaThe present work has as principal aim manage determine the influence of the implementation of the Blended Learning in the learning of the natural sciences in students of the degree 11 of the educational institution Go out For Her Manrique - Colombia, 2017; being the type applied and of experimental design (pre experiment), the sample belonged 62 pupils, the technology was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire to analyze the level of learning, the approach was quantitative. One thought that there exists influence of the implementation of the Blended Learning in the learning of the natural sciences (value of Z = - 3,521 and value of p = 0,000); of similar form that exists influence of the implementation of the Blended Learning in each of the dimensions analyzed of the learning: The comprehensive use of the scientific knowledge (value of Z = - 3,342 and value of p = 0,001), the explanation of phenomena (value of Z = - 2,257 and value of p = 0,024), and the investigation (value of Z = - 2,796 and value of p = 0,005). Finally, the dimension "Explanation of phenomena" was where a major significant improvement was achieved, followed by the dimension "Investigation" and the dimension "Comprehensive use of the scientific knowledge".Publicación Acceso abierto Relación entre la educación socio-emocional y el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de educación secundaria del Colegio República EEUU de América de la ciudad de Bogotá 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-07) Díaz Pérez, Ana Felisa; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaThere is a link between emotion and motivation and these depend on social and emotional relationships and the environment. As a result of this arises the concern to investigate about the relationships that occur from socio-emotional education and academic performance of high school students, specifically in the sixth to eighth grades of the school República EEUU de América in the city of Bogotá during the first quarter of the school year 2019, where it is sought to establish through this investigation if there is any relationship to analyze and determine which factors have the greatest influence on this phenomenon. This paper analyzes whether there is a relationship between socio-emotional education and the academic performance of high school students of the school República EEUU de América in the city of Bogotá, during the first semester of 2019; the population is made up of 198 students, however, there is a sample of 48 students who are those who started their school year with academic commitment; The instrument that was implemented is 4 surveys to determine the relationship between these two variables, in addition to taking into account the grades obtained by students during the first academic quarter. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between socio-emotional education and the academic performance of secondary school students, because 95% of students develop positive social skills and put their values into practice, which allows them to maintain a good environment of class in the School, there is no relationship between socio-emotional education in the class environment dimension and the academic performance of the students participating in the research, in addition, there is a high percentage of students who do not implement the different study techniques to facilitate the learning of the acquired knowledge. To confirm these results, the Kolmogorov-Smirnova Normality test was applied, it was found that, the probability value (p) for the socio-emotional education variable is 0.200> 005, this indicates that the data of said variable have a normal distribution ; however, for the variable study techniques and the 3 dimensions of socio-emotional education have p <0.05, this indicates that the data do not have a normal distribution. Thus, with a level of significance of 5%, it is concluded that there is no relationship between socio-emotional education and the academic performance of high school students of the school República EEUU de América in the city of Bogotá.Publicación Acceso abierto Representaciones sociales sobre la formación por competencias y su relación con la inserción laboral en estudiantes de psicología de una universidad privada de Lima - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-06-30) Hidalgo Henríquez, Catalina Narda; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaThe aim of this research was to study the social representations of psychology students, regarding the competency-based training offered at a private university of Lima and its relation with labor insertion. In order to understand the competencybased approach from the students' subjective viewpoint and experience, a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design has been used. A semistructured interview guide was designed and applied to 11 psychology students. The data obtained shows that social representations of competence-based training are in gestation. This is anchored in three axes: the idea of competing among several people to excel, practical training and individual performance. Students have little information regarding this approach, which is related to the work environment and to university training. With regard to beliefs about competence-based training, it was associated with several representational fields such as: (a) to compete/being better, (b) individual development, dealing better in the academic and social fields/ involving human being dimensions, (c) type of training/new forms of education and (d) performance of various activities. The results also show that there is a favorable attitude towards competence-based training in higher education, but this attitude is stronger when the incorporation of this approach is done by the university itself. Regarding the attitude towards the competency based-approach and its relation to labor market insertion, it is also favorable but not strong.Publicación Acceso abierto Uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación y desempeño docente en la carrera de Terapia Física y Rehabilitación de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-09-19) Ventura Alarcón, Yadira Suleima; Gao Chung, Jadmi GinaThe main goal was to determine the relation between the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and teaching performance in the career of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at the Norbert Wiener University, 2018.
