Ítem Acceso abierto Coping styles and self-care capacity during pre-professional practices in nursing students in the second wave of Covid-19, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-17) Garay Aguilar, Jessica; Palomino Taquire, RewardsObjective: To determine the relationship between coping styles and self-care ability during pre-professional practices in nursing students in the second wave of COVID-19, 2021. Material and method: The present study has a quantitative, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional approach, the study population consisted of 60 students from the IX and X cycles, to whom the scales called Coping and Adaptation Process Measurement Scale (ESCAPS)" were applied with a reliability of 0.89 and "Health Self-Care Practices Questionnaire" with a reliability of 0.76, both were applied in a defined time. Results: It was found that graduates who are nursing technicians have low coping styles and self-care capacity, likewise those who are not nursing technicians have low coping and self-care skills, those students who did their internships at MINSA developed medium coping styles and low self-care capacity; in addition, a moderate negative relationship was found between coping styles and self-care capacity with a significance of -.058 with a P value <.005.
