Due to the risks posed by self-medication globally and in Peru, particularly for hypertensive patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, this research is considered useful for the scientific community and the healthcare team. Methodology: The method was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, an applied type, a correlational level, and a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 208 users of the Farmasalud drugstore. A census sample was taken using non-probabilistic sampling. The instrument was a questionnaire, and the technique used was a survey consisting of 30 questions distributed across six dimensions, utilizing the Likert scale. Results: A relationship between self-medication with losartan in hypertensive patients and the COVID-19 pandemic was evidenced. 51.92% of patients self-medicated with losartan, of which 35.10% corresponded to a medium level and the remaining 12.98% to a low level.
