    This degree work had the general purpose of establishing the relationship with the strategies of teaching social sciences academic performance of students in grades six through eight Integrated school Mesa of Jéridas , Saints - Colombian in 2015. Methodologically, it is a type Basic research correlational level, non-experimental design. The population under investigation corresponds to the sixth and eighth grade school Mesa of Jéridas. The sample size was 96 students randomly selected as sample fraction finite populations to which was applied an instrument to evaluate the study variables. The research method is quantitative. The analytical data processing was performed using the SPSS 19.0 statistical package for Windows XP. In conclusion; the results show a ρ (rho) = Spearman's rank correlation coefficient as follows; a positive correlation ρ (rho) = 0.728 for teaching strategies teaching a ρ (rho) = 0.683 for methodological teaching strategies; and ρ (rho) = 0.631 for didactic teaching strategies; which it is proven with the general hypothesis and the present investigation.
