Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review that synthesizes results from multiple primary studies. These are essential to evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to address specific clinical practice questions. The search was restricted to articles with full text, and selected articles were critically read using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: Ten articles were selected, with 30% (3) from the United States, 30% (3) from Cuba, 20% (2) from Spain, and 10% (1) from Brazil and Venezuela, respectively. Most of the studies were quasi-experimental, accounting for 80%, primarily from the United States, Cuba, and Spain. Systematic reviews accounted for 10%, and 10% were randomized controlled trials from Spain. Of the articles analyzed, 80% affirmed that the nursing educational program aimed at mothers to strengthen adherence to exclusive breastfeeding in infants up to 6 months of age is effective.
