Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of therapeutic hypothermia in the reduction of neurological sequelae in post CPR patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-09-01) Arévalo Changana, Gina Cyndi; Garcia Portilla, Jenny Fabiola; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of therapeutic hypothermia in reducing neurological sequelae in post-CPR patients. Methodology: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of therapeutic hypothermia in reducing neurological sequelae in post-CPR patients were found in the following databases: Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed, Dialnet and Epistemonikos, all They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the articles studied, 50% are Meta-Analyses, of which from the United States they are (1/10), China (3/10), Australia (1/10); Cohort studies 30%, being from the countries of the United States (2/10) and Poland (1/10); Systematic reviews 20% that correspond to the United States. As far as the quality is evident (according to the grade system), 70% of the studies are of high quality and 30% of moderate quality. Of the total of 10 articles, 70% of them concluded that therapeutic hypothermia reduces neurological sequelae in post-CPR patients. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 70% (7/10) show the effectiveness of therapeutic hypothermia in reducing neurological sequelae in post-CPR patients.
