Ítem Acceso abierto Iron deficiency anemia and psychomotor development in children aged 3 to 5 years from the Tarapoto Educational Institution, San Martín, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-19) Garcia Ramirez, Malluri; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioObjective: Establish the relationship between Iron Deficiency Anemia and psychomotor development in children aged 3 to 5 years of the Tarapoto Educational Institution of the department of San Martín - 2023. Method: This research project will be carried out using a hypothetical-deductive approach. The research approach is based on quantitative methods within the positivist paradigm. The type of research will be applied. The research design will be based on categories, concepts, variables, events where no direct change will be made to the respondents. The research will be nonexperimental. The population under study will be made up of 180 children from the Initial level of the I.E. Tarapoto. The sample will be made up of 59 3-year-old children, 55 4-year-old children and 57 5-year-old children, totaling 171 children from the Tarapoto Educational Institution. Two main variables are addressed in the research, Variable 1: Iron deficiency anemia. The hemoglobin test will be used to measure it, a puncture will be performed on the ring finger and the blood obtained will be analyzed to determine the degree of anemia (Normal, Mild, Moderate, Severe) in each child. Variable 2: Psychomotor Development. The DP Test (TEPSI) will be used to evaluate children's psychomotor development in three dimensions: Coordination, Language and Motor Skills. The results will be collected from the evaluation of the children's behavior. The data will be recorded in Microsoft Excel and then analyzed with the statistical software SPSS Version 21; the Rho Sperman correlation coefficient will be used to measure the association between the variables.
