Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge about biosafety measures and attitudinal practices in emergency nurses at the Almenara Hospital in Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-28) Garcia Ramos, Luisa Pamela; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: Biosafety protocols and best practices are constantly evolving, but nursing staff training is not always up to date. Knowledge can be general, without going into specific areas of emergency care, such as the management of patients with contagious or high biological risk diseases. Objective: the present research work will be developed with the aim of determining the relationship between the level of knowledge about biosafety and the attitude of emergency nurses in a hospital in Lima, Lima, 2024. Methodology: The study has a quantitative, applied, nonexperimental and correlational cross-sectional design. The study population will consist of a total of 170 nurses working in the emergency department of a hospital in Lima. For data collection, the survey technique will be used and the instrument will be the Cárdenas Questionnaire of knowledge on biosecurity measures and the Questionnaire of attitudinal practices on biosecurity measures by Ferreira et al. The results will be collected, entered, coded and processed in an Excel design base, then tabulated and processed using the SPSS version 23 statistical package.
