    Motivación y desempeño laboral de los profesionales de enfermería del Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia – San Martín de Porres, 2023

    Objective: Determine the relationship between motivation and work performance of nursing professionals at the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital - San Martin de Porres, 2023. Materials and methods: it was a correlational level investigation with a non-experimental cross-section. The variables of motivation and work performance were analyzed in a population of 120 nursing professionals who work at the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital in the district of San Martin de Porres. A questionnaire was applied for each variable, these instruments were validated through expert judgments with a V-Aiken test for validation, and the reliability of the information was determined using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, with a resulting value of 0.815 for the work motivation instrument and 0.95 for the work performance instrument respectively. Results: it was shown that 55.8% of the population has average work motivation, while 60.8% has regular work performance. Conclusion: a significant relationship was found between the variables mentioned (p-value= 0.001) in the nursing professionals of the Cayetano Heredia National
