    The study will be carried out in the field of the management specialty in central sterilization and will focus on the deficiencies detected regarding the level of knowledge and nursing practice of autoclave sterilization, a worrying situation given that this procedure is essential for all health entities. in order to guarantee the safety and integrity of patients and professionals who work in the hospitals under study. OBJECTIVE: to determine how the level of knowledge and nursing practice of the autoclave sterilization method are related in the central sterilization of three public hospitals in Tarapoto, 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: it will have a quantitative, basic, correlational, non-correlational approach. experimental, transversal. 54 nursing professionals will participate. Survey and observation techniques will be used, while the instruments to be applied will be a questionnaire and an observation guide.
